- Schwimmer Moved To Tears By Uprising
David Schwimmer suffered nightmares while filming new World
War II movie Uprising because of the grim images to which
he was subjected. The Friends actor and his co-stars, Donald
Sutherland, Jon Voigt and Sadie Frost, were all effected by
the dark story of the film, which centers around a Jewish
uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. And actor Andy Nyman, who plays
Jewish defector Calel in the movie, says, "Meeting some
of the people who actually lived through the atrocities we
had to recreate was very moving. David actually had nightmares
about some of the grim footage we had to sit through to prepare
for the movie. When we met some of the eighty-year-olds that
had been a part of it, he was close to breaking up - we all
were." To lighten the atmosphere between takes, part-time
magician Nyman and Schwimmer spent their time playing table
tennis. Nyman says, "He brought a ping-pong table with
him and he's extremely good. I lost every time."

- Friends Score Deal Worth A Million Dollars An Episode
The six stars of Friends have won a new deal worth $1 million
an episode each for the ninth and final season. Jennifer Aniston,
32, Lisa Kudrow, 37, Matthew Perry, 31, Matt Leblanc, 33,
Courteney Cox, 36, and David Schwimmer, 34, each stand to
earn almost $24 million for the 24 episodes, with a three-month
break before shooting begins this August. Ten years ago, they
earned just $6,500 an episode. According to a worker at the
makers of the hit show, Warner Brothers, next season will
definitely be the last, and the stars only made the huge demand
because they expected it to be turned down. The employee reveals
of the cast, "They don't exactly get on that well any
more. And their agents held us to ransom."

- Natalie And David Friends Again
Aussie pop-pixie NATALIE IMBRUGLIA is rekindling the flames
of love with FRIENDS star David Schwimmer.
The pair were spotted canoodling in London's trendy NOBU restaurant,
having also been seen late last year (00) getting reacquainted.
The pair dated back in 1996 and it seems romance is back on
the cards. "They didn't seem to care who saw them,"
says an onlooker. "After dinner they took a stroll outside
and snogged openly. "

2001 - David Schwimmer Victim Of Practical Joke
Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc have proved their comic talent
- by pulling a wicked prank on David Schwimmer. Schwimmer
was amazed by the car he was test-driving for two weeks because
it never seemed to run out of gas. The vehicle's economical
upkeep wasn't all it seemed however - his cheeky co-stars
were actually filling up his tank each day in a bid to confuse
him. LeBlanc and Perry finally topped the joke by siphoning
the tank dry - and a stunned Schwimmer ran out of gas before
leaving the parking lot.

2000 - Schwimmer A Scaredy-Cat?
Actor David Schwimmer plays wimpy Ross on "Friends"
(1994) - and was reportedly revealed to be as neurotic as
his character. The quirky star was forced to face up to his
fear of horror movies by cast mates Matthew Perry and Matt
LeBlanc - but he chickened out half way through a screening
of legendary scream- flick Exorcist, The (1973), and fled
the theatre in fright. When Matthew and Matt tried to drag
him back inside, he replied, "The hell with that!"

2000 - David Schwimmer A Free Man
Actor David Schwimmer and Mili Avital have called it quits
- because he couldn't handle the pressure of marriage. Israeli-born
Avital wanted to walk down the aisle after attending the wedding
of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. A source says, "David
couldn't take the pressure. She pushed so hard for marriage
that she pushed him away. At one time Mili was the perfect
girl for David." But insiders say there were other cracks
in the relationship, "Even though he had that incredible
$750,000 payday, he thought Mili was too extravagant. When
all is said and done, the hype over Jennifer and Brad's wedding
was the undoing of David and Mili."

- David Schwimmer Supports Rape Victims
DAVID SCHWIMMER is backing a new website encouraging victims
of rape to come forward - because the FRIENDS star recently
discovered his former girlfriend had been attacked. The site
is designed to be a resource for victims, even if the assault
took place years earlier, by providing information about rape
drugs, survivor stories and material about legal and medical
options. Schwimmer joined SHERRY LANSING, producer of box
office buster Accused, The (1988), to launch the site at Lansing's
Bel Air home last week. Schwimmer says, "My parents look
at the Net as an incomprehensible and terrifying monster,
and that is true. But we can also utilize it as a new and
powerful tool... This new site offers what people need - a
safe, anonymous first step. I have come to know that one of
my former girlfriends and some of my friends have been victims
of rape."

- Schwimmer Refutes Pay Accusations
DAVID SCHWIMMER has slammed claims that the cast are demanding
huge sums of money for their appearances. He telephoned BBC
radio station LONDON LIVE to complain about reports that the
six actors had negotiated wages of $1 million per episode.
He said, "When I hear figures like that, I get a little
upset. It reflects poorly on the cast. People get the idea
that we are a group of spoiled actors demanding ridiculous
amounts of money."
