JENNIE GARTH is ending her ten year reign as the "Beverly Hills 90210" temptress! ET: So what are you doing here? Are you doing little momentos for your last show? Jennie Garth: Yes, I'm putting together a little crew farewell montage video thing! ET: So what are people saying? Jennie: Goodbye! A lot of people are going like this (waves hand goodbye). No, I am going to do some cute interviews with people. It is so thrown together at the last minute I hope that no one laughs. ET: I'm sure there will be more tears than laughter. Jennie: Yes, I am going for the tears. ET: Ten years is a long time. Are you feeling a little emotional about it? Jennie: Not yet! ET: Do you think you will? Jennie: Oh my gosh, I don't even know. I am totally not there yet -- have not even allowed myself to go there yet! I am sure I will. I do not know what it will be like, I keep trying to think about... this is right up there with other huge things in my life, the last day that I will be with everyone here is one of the huge things in my life. ET: You literally grew up on this show. Jennie: Yeah, I started when I was 16 or 17. ET: So what are you going to do now? Jennie: (laughs) I don't know! You want to talk about it? ET: Well, you know you always go on summer hiatus knowing you have a job to come back to Jennie: The funny thing is I would always go on hiatus and think I'm not going to work, I'm just going to relax, be with my family, I have a job to come back to. This is a weird thing -- I do not have a job to come back to, it is very weird. I do not know what I will do. Probably a lot of plant moving in the yard. ET: So what you are about to experience is what most actors and actresses experience -- unemployment. Jennie: Yes, unemployment and auditioning, which I am horrified of, so if you just want to offer me a job that would be really great. Do not make me audition please! My fiancé is an actor and I watch him go out there and literally hit the pavement, reading script after script, and going on auditions every weekend. I don't know if I have it in me. I am a little nervous. I joke -- I say maybe I will open a bakery or something! I'll make doughnuts and get really fat. ET: What are you going to miss the most, other than the regular employment? Jennie: The craft service. ET: But you can get that anywhere! Jennie: Well, no because there are ding dongs over there. At 7 am you can get a ding dong. No, I am going to miss my people, the crew, the guys, TORI (SPELLING). ET: Give us something about what is going to happen on the show Jennie: There is going to be a big explosion, and the whole city of Beverly Hills is going to go up in smoke. No, I have no idea -- a wedding or something. I can't tell you, it is very top secret information. Nobody is dying, so we'll all be at that reunion show! ET: So how will this show be remembered? Jennie: People keep asking me that question I don't have a good answer! ET: What are you most proud of? Jennie: The issues, I hope people remember the show as an issue based show, not just a fluffy Beverly Hills, blah, blah, blah Our show reached the peak of its success during the time that we were dealing with major issues that young people were going through. Our show gave them a voice, and was there for them, and that is how I hope people will remember it! |
