- Eminem Confuses Julia Stiles
Actress Julia Stiles is puzzled by controversial rapper EMINEM's
lyrics.
The actress who dances to a lot of rap and hiphop music in
her latest movie Save The Last Dance (2001), is a big fan
of OUTKAST, MOS DEF, XZIBIT and Eminem.
She says, "His music is a big dilemma for me. I listen
to all this rap. And on the one hand I really love it. But
on other hand I think about him singing 'bitches this, bitches
that...' I'm not really supposed to like that, me being a
feminist actress. "I sort of decided not to take Eminem's
work too seriously. He's very talented, but his lyrics contradict
each other a lot. So all the fuss about him being controversial
doesn't really bother me. But then again...because other people
do take it seriously, it's hard for me not to. So I haven't
really made up my mind yet. I go back and forth.

Movie star Julia Stiles is determined to make herself "more
Latino" - because she has fallen in love with a young
Mexican.
The 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) actress won't talk about
her boyfriend - reportedly the son of her COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
soccer coach - but she admits he fits the bill as her perfect
match - because she loves Latinos.
She explains, "I have a thing for Latinos. If I'm walking
past a guy and I hear something in Spanish, I'm like, 'Wait
a minute...' "I want to be quasi-Latina or something.
There are girls on my floor who teach me how to salsa and
merengue and I've become fixated on becoming fluent in Spanish.
My New Year's resolution was to watch the Spanish channel
every day!

JULIA STILES had a reputation for being a sexy lap top dancer
at university - thanks to her movies.
Stiles decided to freeze her film career while she continued
her studies at America's Colombia University - but much to
her father's distress, she was notorious at the university
before she even arrived there.
She says, "My dad is really over protective of me and
he was hauling my bags up the stairs, and he wouldn't really
leave me alone. "Most of the kids at school have seen
10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU and I did a table dance in that
movie and that's what most kids remember about it. "So
this kid, was like, 'Hey, your table dance is on my screensaver',
and my dad almost started having a heart attack, like, 'You
are not getting in my daughter's pants young man'

- Julia Stiles's Award Show Dilemma
10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU star Julia Stiles' MTV award has
thrown her into a dilemma - she doesn't know where to put
it. The teen stunner, who carried off her first ever movie
award at Saturday's star-studded ceremony, says she wants
to keep it in her dorm room when she starts college in the
summer, but is worried the other students will think she's
showing off. She says, "I'm going to college in August
so I wonder, would that be really obnoxious to put it in your
dorm room?" And after telling press backstage at the
awards she was going to Columbia University, Stiles immediately
started to backtrack, telling the assembled media she'd be
holding them responsible if she found herself being stalked
on campus. She says, "I'm going to Columbia University
but I'm trying to keep that low-profile because I don't want
weird people following me there. I want the experience of
normal college life. "So if I ever get anyone stalking
me on campus I'm going to blame all of you."
